Deconstructed pairs Michiel Spijkers' still life photography with stylist Tessie van den Boom, breaking three recipes down into their component parts.
Three recipes are pulled apart and restaged as still life compositions, turning ingredients, glassware and table objects into graphic arrangements rather than finished dishes.
About the project
Deconstructed is a collaboration with stylist Tessy van den Boom, who broke down a set of recipes into their component parts for the shoot.
Each dish became a still life built from its own separated ingredients and objects, giving the series its name and allowing composition, colour and surface details to lead.
